Privacy policy

Effective August 20, 2026

joholz.app is Josh Holzhauser’s business website. It shows work, explains what things cost, and carries a form for getting in touch.

What this covers

This policy explains what joholz.app stores about you, why it stores it, who else is involved, and how to get rid of it. It covers joholz.app.

There are no accounts. Nothing here asks you to sign up, and nothing on this site is tracked to a person unless you choose to send a message.

What is collected

What you send me

What you type into the form on the Start a project page: your name, your email address, what you want built, your rough budget and timing, and your message.

So there is something to reply to. It is the entire purpose of the form.

What is never collected

These are promises, not omissions. If any of them ever stops being true, this page changes on the same day and the effective date above changes with it.

  • Accounts. There is nothing on this site to sign up for.
  • Advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The site sets no advertising cookies and runs no advertising network.
  • Payment details. Nothing is bought on this site.
  • Your location.
joholz.app does not sell your information, and does not share it for advertising. There is no advertising in it.

Who else is involved

joholz.app is built and run by one person, Josh Holzhauser. It does not have staff. The companies below are the infrastructure it runs on, and they handle your information only in order to make the product work.

Sign-in, the database the product stores your information in, file storage, and the server code that runs account deletion. Google acts as a processor: it holds the data on behalf of this product and does not get to use it for its own purposes.

Hosts the web version. Its servers see the ordinary request information any web host sees, including your IP address, in order to serve the page.

Delivers the notification email when someone submits the contact form. It handles the message in transit so it reaches the inbox.

Nothing is passed to anyone else, except where the law requires it. There is no data broker, no advertising network, and no analytics company in this list.

How long it is kept

  • Enquiries are kept for as long as they are useful as a record of a conversation. Ask and yours will be deleted.
  • Vercel keeps ordinary web server logs for a limited period as part of hosting the site.

Getting your information removed

Ask, and anything you have sent will be deleted. There is no form and no process to go through: email the address at the bottom of this page and say so.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask for a copy of what joholz.app holds about you, ask for something to be corrected, or ask for all of it to be deleted. Email the address at the bottom of this page. There is no account tier or region that changes this answer, because handling it any other way would take more work than simply doing it for everyone.

If you are in the EU or the UK: the lawful basis for storing what you put into joholz.app is performance of the contract between you and it, and for the usage and error records it is legitimate interest in keeping the product working. You can object to the second by emailing the address below.

Children

joholz.app is not directed at children under 13, and accounts are not knowingly created for them. If you believe a child has an account, or that a child’s information has ended up here, email the address below and it will be removed.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the effective date at the top changes with it and the new version appears at this same address. Old versions are not kept online; if you need to know what it said on a particular date, ask.
